In the global smartphone market, the BlackBerry has fallen in the hands of Apple's iPhone. Similarly, claims from research firm Strategy Analytics.

The conclusion was obtained from the global smartphone market data period of the third quarter of 2010. According to Strategy Analytics, a total of 15.4 million iPhone units shipped in that period, while shipments of BlackBerry "only" reached 12.4 million units.

In the third quarter, both the iPhone and RIM BlackBerry showed sales growth from the previous period. But RIM is 'just' up 46%, while the iPhone jumped nearly 2-fold.

Quoted from PCWorld, Monday (25/10/2010), Apple may be looking at any existing Nokia in the first position. But Nokia is still quite far with smartphone shipments in the third quarter reached 26.5 million units.
According to Strategy Analytics analysis, one factor is the lack of tergilasnya RIM's touch-screen gadget that they produce. In fact, proven touch screen mobile phone trend. There are even predictions, RIM will continue to spread around.

"We believe the gap between RIM and the two top vendors in the consumer market will be increased in every quarter," according to estimates Sameet Kanade, an analyst at Northern Securities
