Sony: Sayonara Walkman!

Remember the Walkman? Cassette player device that had once popular finally meet death. Sony Walkman that had become the largest producer, has decided to stop its construction.

According to the company based in Japan, they have been doing the last Walkman shipping in the Japanese market earlier this year. And if all units were sold out the Walkman will not be produced anymore. As quoted from PC Mag, Sunday (10/25/2010), Sony itself began producing portable cassette player device since 1979.


Walkman may be a little late for her debut, but in the 1980's, the device is then developed into a portable stereo. Its presence has also been replaced by an MP3 player.
