Nokia still uses Symbian


The future of Symbian OS to see a bright spot. Nokia has decided to take over the full development of the operating system and promised all-out defense of Symbian.


Symbian Foundation will be transitioning from the role as controller of the development of Symbian, the Symbian license management agencies only. This institution will take care of licensing if there is interest in using the Symbian besides Nokia.


As quoted from TechRadar detikINET, Tuesday (09/11/2010), Nokia will control the management direction of the development of the Symbian platform started in April 2011.


Nokia step is viewed as no surprise. Ben Wood, analyst at Insight CSS stating Nokia one calculates that make Symbian open source. In fact, support from other vendors was minimal so that Nokia remains the most hardworking.


Rays Symbian is slowly fading though still so real most widely used OS in the world. Recently, Samsung and Sony Ericsson have said goodbye to Symbian.


But Nokia still remain confident relying on Symbian. They also recently launched a flagship mobile phone with Symbian 3, Nokia N8
